自然のエネルギーを一つの紙へ。
今まではテーマを決めて、音楽から感じた色を一つの芝居をやるかのように踊るように書いていたか事が多いけれど、初めて山にこもって自然の音で作品をつくりました。
湧水、職人さんが作った手すきの美濃和紙、大地や生き物から頂いた色。
自然のエネルギーが、家を浄化し持ってる方を守ってくれる。そして地球の力と記憶をここにこめました。
このシリーズは、場所を変えたり素材を研究しながら、
来年はね、海外いく。
計画性もない私。あてもないお金もないけれど、未来を想像すると絵面だけが頭に出てきて。何度も何度も０から来年の事を想像しても色濃くなるばかりで、行かないと次の絵に進めないので今はそこに向かってみます！
“Megumi” series
For home protection.
Artwork that let you feel the energy of nature through the five senses.Created in forests and shrines in the Tokai region. Only natural materials such as earth, stones, shells, plants, trees and sacred water (mountain spring water) are used. All the paper is Mino Washi, handmade by Japanese craftsmen.A world and colors inspired by sound and fragrances of nature is expressed on Mino Washi.
I had the inspiration to create this artwork when I came across Mino Washi made from domestically produced Oasa (hemp).
Since ancient times is Japan, Ooasa (hemp) has been believed that has the power to purify kegare: directly translated at defilement, which was believed to be evil or negative energy that accumulates in daily life.
When I came across this sacred hemp paper, a picture came to my mind and I thought ‘I want to create something that will protect my home’.
A few days later, someone who happened to come to my exhibition and saw my artworks told me that it purifies them by looking at it, and they would be pleased to have one of these artworks at their own home. This is how the “Megumi” series started.
